Not German Shephard specific
Good general content but this book is not German shepherd specific. Golden retrievers are mentioned in this book in the context of `training your golden retriever'. This is a generic book which has been ported to all breeds simply by changing the cover picture. don't waste your money/credits

This is an excellent listen
This is an excellent listen . It's great if you are considering purchasing or already own a young puppy. It's full of insightful information about the life-cycle, mental states, and behaviors of young dogs. It also includes a lot of practical handling information. The Brittany Boykin are very interesting.

I recommend listening this book
If you are getting a German Shepherd puppy, this book is the first thing you should get and keep. I pull it out with every German Shepherd puppy I get. It has a helpful chart in for when you first get your puppy. I recommend listening this book before you get your puppy. Then I recommend buying their training books also. I have used these books for many, many puppies and will continue to use and recommend to other people as well.

Even if you think you know
I thought I knew how to raise a puppy but my newest dog proved to be a real challenge with house training and recall. This book changed my thought process and helped me learn a new way to teach my puppy, with huge improvement in her behavior. I'd recommend to anyone with a new German Shepherd puppy!

I think this is a good guide
I think this is a good guide/bible. It is a bit philosophical for my taste -- as a new puppy owner I almost need a guide that tells me what is critical at week 8-11 and 12-16 and months 5-8 etc and exactly what to do.
