bloody brilliant!
I absolutely adore this audiobook, I couldn't keep listening to it and I finished it in three days!! I had the same boyfriend problems but thankfully after I told my friends what was going on it was able to stop :) and dumped! it's so relatable, if you haven't read Florence given's other book 'women don't owe you pretty' go read now. I would also love for there to be more of an ending with Rose and Eartha but I guess that friendship has pretty much ended.

Alright for a trashy listen. Not great.
It’s very trite story and the writer doesn’t have good prose. The only thing that kept me going was the narrator had a good handle on accents and delivery. I think if I was 15 I would’ve probably loved this book.

Highly anticipated
I was really looking forward to this book as a big fan of Florence Given. I really enjoyed the first 3/4! It was laugh out loud funny, sexy and an enjoyable listen. I found the last 1/4 hard to follow at times, I don’t want to write any spoilers, so I will just say I think the chaotic nature of this part was reflective of Eartha’s life at that time. I sort of get it, sort of don’t. It addresses hugely important issues and perhaps it’s my lack of knowledge on the themes that made the ending a bit confusing for me. I was left wishing there were more answers.

It's a little naive and frivolous but nice to have queer stories shared. perhaps better for a younger demographic than myself.

Rubbish
I like Florence Given and everything she does, but this book is utter rubbish. childish and not funny. Managed to get to halfway chapter 8, until I had to give up. This book was so hard to listen to and not because of the narrator. The boyfriend in this book does not portray how a man would behave in the situation and that was so difficult to listen to. Cringy. I won't recommend.
