About this listen
Share your authentic self. Shine a light on your best work and learn to glow in the dark.
When you talk about yourself and the work you do, what message do you convey? Do you tell your best story and show your most authentic self, or do you undersell your talents and fail to sell your strengths? Too many of us feel like imposters, playing down our achievements, failing to do our brilliant ideas justice. Many of us are simply too afraid of what people might think or say if we showed up as our authentic selves in public and shared our true stories.
Countless brilliant ideas will never see the light of day because people are too timid to truly be themselves.
It doesn't have to be this way. This audiobook will help you get comfortable with being yourself in public, accept who you are, and celebrate every part of you and your story—even the scary bits.
No matter where you are on life's journey, no matter what your experience or background, you can learn a simple framework to turn your myriad of experiences into a powerful, engaging, and clear origin story that people will connect with, remember, and want to share with others on your behalf.
From hiding your talents to glowing in the dark, this audiobook will help you tell your story with confidence.

Unique
I've read many books on storytelling, this is the most unique one. It offers practical advice and super insightful content. I recommend it to any business owner, entrepreneur, founder or leader who wants to learn how to shape and share their origin story in the most impactful way.

Storytelling Made Simple.
As an entrepreneur (and somewhat of a psychology nerd), I’ve long been aware of the transformative benefits of uncovering and sharing your story. However, there’s a million different books and courses out there on the subject, so it’s a minefield trying to find a resource that succinctly captures the essence of storytelling, without going into unnecessary detail. What I loved about Mark’s book is its practicality and the frameworks he provides. Tools like “The 3 C’s”, “Source, Shape, and Share”, and the River of Life are invaluable for anyone (like me) who finds it difficult to share their stories with others. Highly recommend picking this up if you want to leverage the power of storytelling to improve both your personal life and your business.

Very enjoyable & impactful!
I found this book to be a really helpful in understanding the power of my own story. But more practically, it gave steps in how to go through your life and pull out the ones that are meaningful & how to make them relevant for what you’re trying to achieve. It really gets you thinking and I have immediately seen the value as I’ve put it into practice. I’m also a big fan of the recording itself. The author has a nice voice and I was able to hear everything clearly even though I played it at 1.5x normal speed - for context I see this as a sign of a good recording because not all audiobooks translate well when sped up. A must have for anyone not just looking to tell stories publicly, but also if you want to understand more about yourself.
