The inhabitants of the Inventor's Housing Estate keep themselves to themselves. There are the friendly 'Hellos' when commutes coincide and the odd cheeky eye roll when the wine bottles clank in number seven's wheelie bin, but it's not exactly Ramsay Street. The dilapidated community centre is no longer the beating heart of the estate that Becky remembers from her childhood. So the new pottery class she's helped set up feels like a fresh start. And not just for her.

I am 93. I've had an extraordinary life. It's only now that I appreciate how extraordinary. As a young man, I felt I was out there in the wild, experiencing the untouched natural world - but it was an illusion. The tragedy of our time has been happening all around us, barely noticeable from day to day - the loss of our planet's wild places, its biodiversity. I have been witness to this decline.

Summary
An inspiring and approachable tip-filled guide to changing your habits, living more sustainably and taking action, by Greenpeace ambassador Bonnie Wright (Ginny Weasley in the Harry Potter movies).
Go Gently is a practical guide for sustainability at home that offers simple, tangible steps towards reducing our environmental impact by looking at what we consume and the waste we create, as well as how to take action for environmental change. The title reflects Bonnie's belief that the best way to change our planet and ourselves is through a gentle approach, rather than a judgmental one. This is an audiobook of do's rather than don'ts.
Going through every room in her home, Bonnie helps us assess which products are sustainable and offers alternatives for those that are not. She shares recipes to avoid food waste, homemade self-care products to avoid packaging, small space friendly gardening ideas and a template for creating your own compost system. Finally, there are exercises and meditation prompts to keep you energised, as well as tips on how to get involved in wider community activism.
PLEASE NOTE: When you purchase this title, the accompanying PDF will be available in your Audible Library along with the audio.

Gentle intro to the climate movement
As the title of the book says, a gentle intro to the climate movement
A great book for people who want to learn more about ways they can take part and help the earth, without the typical shame that some tend to put on people to do everything at once. Focusing on taking steps to gradually include more and more, so as to not overwhelm people so they stop all together.
Keeping in mind along the journey that we are still human and are allowed to make mistakes/not being perfect, and doing our best is enough.
Filled with lots of good advice (and recipes) that help you on your way to a more sustainable lifestyle, a lot of which I will (gently) implement to my own lifestyle.
