Summary

When she receives the admission letter from the mysterious University of Verenmore, she accepts it as a sign from the universe. The last thing she expects though is an olden, secluded castle on top of a mountain riddled with secrets, deceit, and death.
An enigma his entire life, Vad Deverell likes being a closed book while knowing exactly everything that happens in the university. A part-time professor working on his thesis, Vad has been around long enough to know the dangers the castle possesses. The moment he crosses paths with Corvina, he knows she is a danger to everything that he is.
They shouldn't have caught each other's eye. They cannot be. But a chill-inducing century-old mystery forces them to collide. People have disappeared every five years for over a hundred years. Corvina is getting clues to unravel it all, and Vad needs to keep an eye on her.
So begins a tale of the mystique, the morbid, the macabre, and a deep love that blossoms in the unlikeliest of places.

Good story but overwhelming narration.
I really liked the premise of this book. I enjoyed that it was a standalone book. I thought it was will written and well thought out. There was a few loose ends but nothing that spoiled it overall. I also never saw the ending coming. But the female narrator was just too over the top for my taste. Reading the calm bits of the story was great, very entertaining. The more exciting bits of the book were spoiled, in my opinion, by over acting. I would still recommend though as she does have a lovely voice and I enjoyed a lot of it. Male narrator was good. Will read more by this author.

V(l)ad and a little crow
The romance between Vad and Corvina is so fiercely passionate and thrilling. At first, I wasn't convinced Vad could be anything but evil and controlling. Corvina's fascination with him was almost confusing. But the more the story developed, the more I fell in love with both characters. But the mystery stays unanswered. Will another book answer the questions we are all wondering?

AWFUL !
This was an uncomfortable listen amazed to have finished it full of erotic padding with consistent use of obscenity the F—k word to finish most sentences. Hardly any feasible plot. If this is erotic fiction will not read another!
