Summary

What happens when an unstoppable force meets an immovable object in the field of death?

In the dark underbelly of the mob, Tristan Caine has been an anomaly. As the only non-blooded member in the high circle of the Tenebrae Outfit, he is an enigma to all. His skills are unparalleled, his morality is questionable, and his motives are unknown. He is lethal and he knows it.

As does Morana Vitalio, the genius extraordinaire daughter of the rival family. What Caine does with weapons, Morana does with computers. When a twenty-year-old mystery resurfaces, Morana infiltrates Caine's house, intent on killing him, unaware of a tie that binds them together. Hate, heat, and history clash together with unexpected sparks.

But something bigger, something worse is happening in their world. And despite their animosity, only they can fight it down.

Addictive!!

I thoroughly enjoyed this book!! The plot was gripping. The characters felt real and raw and the tension between the FMC and MMC was gold.

4.5

Just, wow. Im afraid this book is going to ruin me for all other mafia books. The sheer sleekness, class and an effortless mastermind of a style of writing, RuNyx creates such good tension with ger weiting style you can practically feel the fear like its your own. I was immersed into this story like no other, this was a whole new level of audiobook experience.

Enjoyable listen

I was hooked in the beginning than a little underwhelmed during the middle but I’m glad I stuck through it because the book was so good. The only part I didn’t like was the fact the book was in 3rd person narration and since I’m use to reading in 1st person it was a bit confusing at times. The narrators did a great job though at delivering the story.

Slow Start

For the first few hours I found it quite slow and almost gave up listening, but I’m glad I stuck it out. Love Tristan and by the end I was hoping they would sort out their issues ,I can’t wait to start The Reaper.
