About this listen

The world’s most powerful villains have a problem. One of their own is threatening global Armageddon, with himself at the head of a sinister new world order.

Meanwhile, Otto, Wing, and other students from H.I.V.E. are en route to a training exercise in the Arctic known as the ninety-three-percenter, owing to the proportion of students who make it back alive.

But before they arrive, events take over, and Otto and his most trusted villain-friends find themselves in the sights of the most dangerous man alive, with nowhere to run to....

Great fun

Really like this light entertainment with the added fun technological context. On to the next in series.

Great series

My boys (aged 9 & 11) love this series, and frankly so do I. It's got some cracking female characters in it, which makes me happy, alongside action, tension, puzzles and an exploration of friendship.

The only downside is that my boys would much rather go to HIVE than their own school.

Amazing book, disappointing narration.

I am loving the story and finding the whole series somewhat addictive, however I have to say that both my partner and I were very disappointed in the change of narrator for this book. Some accents were good but the Wing accent in particular was so bad that it was literally quite insulting to my Chinese friend and it very much ruined the book from our perspective. I hope the next one is an improvement.

Not happy

It's my own fault, I should have checked before I purchased this title, but I ordered via the app on my phone where the name of the narrator isn't clear unless you open the whole entry. Having listened to all the preceding HIVE books being read by Jack Davenport it was a shock to hear somone else reading. I know I'm a picky sod when it comes to readers, so I left it for a bit and came back to it again, this time prepared that it wasn't Mr Davenport. I'm sorry but I just don't get on with Richard Coyle's reading style. I think that's me done listening to this series. However, as I've enjoyed all the previous stories so much, I may just go dig up the books and read them myself.
