Extraordinary!
An incredible story of a life lived in adversity with courage, tenacity and positivity! I am full of admiration for her ability to get on with and rise above what life threw at her. Her narration was fabulous too.

Wow what a book
I couldn’t stop listening to this audiobook. Janey read it beautifully. It was both very sad and sometimes funny, the strength of Janey takes my breath away. One amazing woman.

Funny, brave, strong and courageous
Janey tells all in her typical style. Fascinating, funny in parts but completely frank, it gives another perspective into what made her what she was. Janey says in the introduction how proud she is of this book: she was very right to be so.

Wonderful book
I thoroughly enjoyed Janey’s book although it’s an extremely hard listen at times, I frequently found myself in tears. Beautifully written and narrated I was totally immersed in the sights and sounds of the time.

Fabulous listen
Repulsive treatment of an innocent wee girl, recounted by someone who has obviously toiled and fought through the aftermath. Inspiring, fast paced and really funny. All credit to you Janey for every aspect of this story.
