About this listen
The latest thriller in the Tom Keeler series, Hard Candy is an action packed story with more twists than a bag of pythons.
A woman fallen. Crumpled to the train platform, lying face up on the frozen cement, her life hanging by a thread.
A misplaced package. Hunted by people who will do anything to get it back.
The man with the familiar face. An old enemy working for a powerful new organization.
A crypto billionaire. He might be the richest man on earth, but money can’t save him from a professional hit team.
Tom Keeler. Traveling by train from Canada to New York City, Keeler gets stranded in the town of Kitchewan Landing. A blizzard’s coming down with the polar vortex, and an evil wind is blowing through town.
The Tom Keeler books can be listened to in any order. If you listen to only one book this year, this is it. A dazzling tour de force from the mind of one of the most talented writers working today. Action, adventure, courage, evil, and characters you can sink your teeth into. If you're looking for a new thriller series that will stay with you long after you finish it, look no further.
Recommended for fans of Lee Child's Jack Reacher, Vince Flynn's Mitch Rapp, Robert Ludlum's Jason Bourne, and Brad Thor's Scot Harvath.

Not the best in the series
The story was ok but the change of narrator changed the whole experience for me other than that a good book but Jeff Harding makes the character stand out more

Performance and story lacking
Bring back Jeff Harding. Performance far too breathy, story very laboured and nowhere near as good as the first 3. Will skip the rest while this guy is narrating.

the worst one yet
part of the reason I am listening to this series of books is because I have run out of Jack Reacher. part of the reason this series was so attractive was Jeff Harding. this guy would be excellent for reading slow moving stories or ASMR, but the overall narration does not suit the way this character has been portrayed so far.
this isn't the fault of the narrator it is the fault of whoever hired him.
from a story point of view, The story could have been so much stronger and would have benefited from not jumping around multiple scenes

Not as good as the last
Couldn’t get on with the narrator. This made it harder to listen to. Story was so so - fairly predictable.

Good
Thoroughly enjoyed this and the change of narrator was not an issue. Good all round.

enjoyed but not as much as previous 3 with Jeff Harding really complementing the style of writing. not a big fan of the new style and the narrator just sends me to sleep

Not as good as the first 3 books
The first 3 books in the series were very well narrated by Jeff Harding. He kept the listener involved as he had done with the Reacher books. This is why many think. These Keeler books are Reacher rip offs.
Anyway I just did not enjoy this audio book anywhere as much as the first 3. Changing narrator mid series was a mistake in my opinion.
No where as strong a story as previous books but worth a try.
I won’t be getting book five.

Nothing
No offence to To Jordan, maybe I’m addicted to Jeff Harding. Narration is too monotone for me. Ideal for a sleep story but too breathy, quick and lacking in tone and inflection to hold attention for the type of story. Going to sleep or getting in a fight… same voice… lovely voice, but difficult to follow the story as laid back fast drawl just sends my mind off somewhere else. Great for sleep 😬
