About this listen
Lena Todd is the perfect spy. Nobody suspects the flirtatious debutante could be a rebel against London's vicious elite - not even the ruthless Will Carver, the one man she can't twist around her little finger.
Will Carver is more than man, he's a verwolfen and he wants nothing to do with the dangerous beauty who drives him to the very edge of control. But when he finds Lena in possession of a coded letter, he realizes she's in a world of trouble. To protect her, he'll have to seduce the truth from her before it's too late.

Brilliant!!!
I loved this instalment of the series. It was great to get inside Will's head and see how he felt about being Verwulfen and about those around him. It was good getting inside Lena's head too, learning the secrets she kept from her siblings.
I liked meeting more Verwulfen as well considering a delegate arrived from Europe and Will got to meet others like him for the first time in his life.
We also got to see a little into the Humanist movement that was mentioned in the last book, as well as learning a little more about her father that we didn't know before but was hinted at.
I was really happy to see Will and Lena get together as I think they compliment each other really well. Lena will be able to really help him in his new role and I get the feeling that though he won't be living in Whitechapel anymore or working as Blade's top enforcer, he'll still be a feature around the warren from time to time, after all Blade is his family! I wonder if it'll mean that Blade actually attends the courts more often as well to show support for Will?
I can't wait for the next book, to get Jasper's story and I still hope that Leo and Aramina get a story as I'm convinced their is a story between those two! I look forward to when Charlie's old enough to get a book as well. I also hope we see more of Tin Man as he wasn't in this book except via a brief mention.
