Summary

Love Nick and Charlie from Heartstopper? Meet Arthur and Ben! In the follow-up to their charming NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER, What If It’s Us, best friends Adam Silvera (They Both Die At The End) and Becky Albertalli (Simon vs. The Homo Sapiens Agenda) reunite to give Arthur and Ben another shot at true love.

From the creator of 13 Reasons Why, What If It’s Us is soon to be a feature film!

Ben has spent his first year of college working on his fantasy manuscript with his writing partner Mario, who is a great Spanish tutor, and an even better kisser. So why can’t he stop thinking about the fact that Arthur’s back in town two years after they called it quits?

Arthur is in New York for a dream internship on Broadway, with a boyfriend back at home that he couldn't be happier with. But when he comes upon Ben cuddled up with a mystery boy, he starts to wonder if his feelings for Ben ever truly went away.

Even as the boys try to focus on their futures, they can't seem to help running into each other in the present. Is the universe forcing them to question if they’re actually meant to be?

Possibly not. After all, things didn’t work the first time around.

Possibly yes. After all, the sparks are still flying.

Sometimes you just have to take a leap of faith and raise a glass.

Here’s to celebrating old friends!

Here’s to embracing new beginnings!

Here’s to believing in second chances!

OUTSTANDING!!

somehow this is better than the previous book! It’s so cute and I laughed out loud several times and it literally brought me to tears. I love every single character and the way the story unfolds keeps you on the edge of your seat. I hope there is a 3rd, 4th, 5th book! I can’t get enough!

Sweet and romantic

If you want to be in the story BE IN THE STORY

So we’re back to our lovers it’s been such a nice journey to find Arthur and Ben meet again after some time apart with new partners

There was ups and downs in the writing but all in all it was a great book just like the first one.
I don’t think some of the character development was thought through I really couldn’t stand Dylan this time around he went from charmingly annoying in the first book to arrogant in this one

It was lovely to see how the boys had fallen in love to place that love they had with eachother somewhere else it was like trying to fill a void of a lost pet but unfortunately for Mikey you could tell from the offset that his love was one sided and I felt so sad for him because the love he was giving and wanting was not being returned
I love how the book wraps up with Dylan and Samantha and I think that’s where it should have ended adding another wedding a couple chapters after for the boys was a bit of a miss for me

Overall great book
Audible has great narrators for this book to sometimes not enough definition between characters though

OHMYGOD

This book 🥺 I cried my eyes out with happiness it made me giggle, gasp and cry I have read all books by both authors and they just have something about them that make them so good this was such a good sequel and maybe even a little better than the first one, the narrators fit the story perfect and make it even better

Here’s to us, here’s to love

This was the perfect follow up story to ‘What If It’s Us’. All the characters have been developed beautifully and the story keeps you wanting to find out what happens next for both Arthur and Ben. Both Albertalli and Silvera manage to put their own style of writing into their respected chapters just like before and it made me love the characters all over again. No spoilers; the ending is worth the wait. The voice actors for the audiobook I felt did a great job getting across Ben and Arthur’s emotions and I’m extra glad it is the same actors who portrayed them in the first novels audiobook. They fit these characters so well.

Love love love

I absolutely loved the first book and this one is even better! Wonderful writing, as expected from Adam and Becky, and the performances were just as good as the first. I would recommend to any lovers of queer fiction.

Awesome

I love how Noah and Froy made me see the characters and felt in love for them. I do love the universe was kind, I needed that badly! Just great!

So boring, wasted potential

Feels like a cash grab off of the last book, and undoes all of the reality of that story in favour of cliche. As ever the performances were great, but it’s a poor story that forces together two characters with no chemistry and work better apart. Would not recommend.
