About this listen
My nightmares have started closing in. Now I'm just trying to survive them. When my past comes back to haunt me, I find myself relying on the men I've come to care so much about. With their help, and the help of my best friend, I'm trying to navigate the threats - old and new.
When I'm summoned to go before the Council, I have no idea what to expect. Thrust into a world of politics and status I'm not sure I agree with, my unease grows as I struggle to find my place. When my powers develop with the help of my Phoenix, I feel more prepared to take on the unknowns stacking up against me. Will my guys and I be able to face the trials in our path, or will the secrets of a world that's hidden in smoke destroy us before we've even started?
Contains mature themes.

Fantastic series
I absolutely love this story and narration is great too. There is suspense, hot scenes, hot guys... What's not to like.

Great story but awful narrators
Another great story but let down by the narrators. The accents really made me cringe and let down what is otherwise a great book

Awful narration, storylines poorly researched.
Overall the story is good, let down by two TRULY appalling narrators, who cannot seem to master any of the accents required - it would be much better if they hadn't bothered.
As far as the storyline goes, some more research into some of the topics of Nix's back story would have been good, but glaring mistakes spoiled this. For a victim of SA, being told 'good girl' by a potential partner for aquiescing to something she doesnt want to do would have left her cold at the very least - running for the door more likely, not to mention that she would not have let herself be examined medically in that way with such ease without so much as a bat of the eyelid (more creepy 'good girl's from supporting character making this storyline cringeworthy, unbearable and potentially triggering)
