Summary

Sequel to the number one New York Times best seller. Sarah J. Maas' sexy, groundbreaking Crescent City series continues with this second instalment.

Bryce Quinlan and Hunt Athalar have made a pact. As they process the events of the spring, they will keep things platonic until the solstice. But can they resist when the crackling tension between them is enough to set the whole of Crescent City aflame?

And they are not out of danger yet. Dragged into a rebel movement they want no part of, Bryce, Hunt and their friends find themselves pitted against the terrifying Asteri - whose notice they must avoid at all costs. But as they learn more about the rebel cause, they face a choice: stay silent while others are oppressed or fight. And they've never been very good at staying silent.

In this sexy, action-packed sequel to the number one best seller House of Earth and Blood, Sarah J. Maas weaves a captivating story of a world about to explode - and the people who will do anything to save it.

Great story, but terrible accents by the narrator

I have recently got massively into SJM having never been into this genre before. I am having so much fun and love the audio books. However....can this woman please work on her accents. Or leave them out. Cormac....so terrible. I am guessing it is meant to he Scottish but hearing the accent so badly done is such a shame when normally I love the narration.

Amazing

Ends on such a cliff hanger! Sarah J Maas has done it again. If you're a fan of her other works then you're going to like this one, too.

Wow!

Struggled to get into the first book but had read a review that said to stick with it and it would get so much better. So glad I did it’s getting better than I even hoped for and now I get to go further with the third book!

Amazing series

Words cannot describe how much I love these stories.

I love the length of the stories, the complexity of the storylines, the passion, the characters (of course, I love a strong female lead) and above all else, how they help me put my real life problems aside for an hour so I can get sept away into a fantasy world.

I can’t wait to see where the next instalment takes us.

Brilliant book

I wasn’t so sure about the voices used for certain characters but that’s subjective. I’m going to read the next book. Can’t wait.
