Jane McLelland
About this listen
After being given a terminal diagnosis with only a few weeks to live, Jane McLelland dug up research, some decades old, in her quest to survive. Rather than aiming to cure cancer, which in many cases is unachievable, Jane's approach was to stop it growing. Remarkably, her approach not only stopped it growing, it disappeared altogether. There are now clinics following her protocol, achieving remarkable successes.
An international publishing sensation, this inspirational listen is updated with a new Metro Map, Jane's unique and revolutionary route map to starving cancer. A glossary and index is also included. Written in two sections, Jane intertwines her remarkable life story of terminal cancer to full recovery, describing how she discovered a unique cocktail of off label drugs (drugs usually prescribed for other conditions) and supplements that effectively starve the cancer stem cell, the cell left behind by conventional treatment. Treatment for the stem cell is hailed as the Holy Grail, so this book plugs the missing piece into why we do not have a cure for cancer.
Lead cancer researchers at top oncology centers are now using this book as a guide, and Jane has a huge following of tens of thousands on Facebook. Testimonials abound from happy and delighted recovered patients and from oncologists who use her methods.

A useful resource
This book is an excellent resource using the second section. I have the written version for that as it's hard to follow just listening to it. The first half is a very interesting personal story and the narrator has an excellent voice for this with real emotional intonation, however there are a lot of mispronounced words. I am a retired doctor so I understand some words are difficult but I really think if you're going to read medical terms then you should ask someone 'in the know' how to pronounce them as it's very grating to hear a word you don't recognise due to pronunciation. Some were because they had no idea how to say them, but there were quite a lot of words which had syllables either added in or left out.

Fascinating book
Jane McLelland has combined latest research and knowledge of both the medical and alternative approach to healing cancer. She has come up with a
protocol combining the best of both worlds.

An important read with important research
Having being diagnosed with bowel cancer after Xmas and becoming disillusioned with conventional treatments and oncologists, this book was a gods send for me.
Not only does it provide a powerful story of strength and courage but Janes research on diet, supplements and especially off label drugs is incredibly thorough and useful for any stage 4 patient who is feeling let down by conventional medicine, like myself.
Unfortunately oncologists and NHS doctors refuse to use or even discuss any treatment that’s not been through clinical human trials, and here lies the problem…
Pharmaceutical companies and governing bodies won’t spend the hundreds of million required for clinical trials unless they can profit significantly when they come to market. If it’s natural or the re-labelled drug has a patent ending then they can’t profit from them, hence these treatments, even if they’ve been hugely successful in animal trials and independent human trials, won’t ever get to market due to lack of financial gain.
It’s truly a sad world we live in where greed and fortune is favoured over health and wellness!
