Summary

The new festive treat from the Sunday Times best seller.

It’s nearly Christmas, and it’s snowing, hard.

Six people have an unexpected stay in the tiny hamlet of Figgy Hollow.

Stuck inside a beautiful old inn, how long will it take before the joy of Christmas seeps into their souls and offers them all a new beginning?

Everybody’s dream of a white Christmas!

As always a thought provoking book by Milly Johnson who is fast becoming my favourite author. How Christmas used to be before commercialism highjacked the day. People getting on, good food, fun and games, pulling together, I wish life was still like that! This book highlights what’s important in life and is cleverly written. Funny, sad, happy, all the emotions! Well narrated with all the different characters! Will definitely listen to again and thoroughly recommend it!

Great story

This is my first ever review, even though I have about 200 books in my audible library. Well written, brilliantly narrated; it has all the elements of a really good story. Great characters are brought to life so much you care for them. No spoilers, but 'Brian' is also a delight! I agree with the other 5 star reviewers ... a little bit of subtle, seasonal magic.

Perfect for Xmas, perfect for any time of year

Milly Johnson has gifted us the perfect Xmas book. Lots of magic, lots of laughs, a fair few tears and a superb ending. Every character is crafted to perfection. Their voices are distinctive so you never get confused over who is speaking. The pace is just perfect. Colleen Prendergast sounds like she is having a fantastic time reading the story to us, and the bonus cracker jokes at the end are proper corkers. I can't wait to listen again, so I can be in the company of Mary and Jack, Charlie and Robin, and especially Bridge and Luke. There are no plot holes in this gorgeous tale, just oodles of warm comforting words, with mouth-watering descriptions of the joy of preparing and sharing the feast of Xmas. Make the most of what you have, life is far too short. Share this book with everyone you love.

Great Christmas Read..

loved the book Milly once again finds away to wish some of the stories she writes could be true. The characters are brought to life from the narrator and the storyline.

A definite Christmas listen to

I loved this story which I have just re-listened to from hearing it last year. Excellent narrator and I loved the characters and the stories leading up to them all meeting in an isolated snow bound pub in Yorkshire.

A Fairytale!

A completely unrealistic, totally not real life, with unbelievable characters brought together in a heart warming tale, just lose yourself from reality for a while and enjoy this book’s charm and warmth.
