About this listen
There's a thin line between love, hate, life and death in this vampire bodyguard paranormal romance from M.A. Grant, author of The Prince of Air and Darkness.
Cristian Slava and Atlas Kincaid despise each other. At least, that’s what they need everyone to believe. In truth, the charismatic vampire and his fierce bodyguard are more in love than ever. But when a powerful political faction emerges and threatens Cristian’s family, the only way into their enemy’s inner circle is without each other by their side.
From Romania to New York and beyond, though apart, their blood-bond cannot be severed—but it can be used against them. When Cristian sacrifices his life to save his family and save Atlas from having his darkest secrets revealed, only faith in that bond will keep Atlas from utter despair.
And only by facing his past will Atlas be able to accept who he is and finally defeat their most powerful enemy yet…
Death itself.

Excellent MM Trilogy
Atlas and Christian's relationship convincingly evolved from physical attraction to trust to love!! Their romance was so carefully and thoughtfully built that by the end, l belived in it. The mystery shifted from a whodunnit to a whydunnit and the pacing ramped up the nail biting tension on whether Atlas | Christian would survive?!! ITD also came with a goody bag of payoffs for the world building and yes, there were logical consequences for heroes and villains. This trilogy was so entertaining and very well written, it is a cut above in the MM genre.
🎧 John Solo delivered another excellent performance. I loved his skill in ensuring a clean switch between Atlas and Christian's POVs and consistent vocal characterisation for the expanded cast. He made it so engaging to listen to that, for me, ITD was an immersive experience. I have listened to this trilogy twice now and both times l was fully invested because Mr. Solo knows what he is doing. I am satisfied!

Very good book and series
I really enjoyed this book. The previous books had many surprises and this book did not disappoint. The development of the relationship between the MCs was interesting and the plot kept me up late. Narration was good as well.
