Summary
Almost one year ago, a Mage attacked Silver and changed the course of her destiny. Immortals exist, and now she is one of them. Within the dark and supernatural city of Cognito, Silver is living under the watchful eye of her Ghuardian and dating her mortal enemy. Neither man can protect her from a dark secret, one buried within the contents of a box. As rival factions struggle to gain control, she finds herself in the middle of a centuries-old feud that threatens to drive a wedge between her and Logan Cross, the man who intends to seduce her. In an explosive turn of events, one life is saved and another is forever altered. Can Silver trust those around her, or are they hiding a dark secret of their own?

My second time listening
These books are absolutely fantastic. I absolutely love them. I've listened to all 4 different series by Dannika and back on them again. Her writing is amazing. Nicole Poole is amazing and lead me to Dannika.
Don't hesitate, listen to the series from the beginning.

Action packed heroics and romance
Any additional comments?
Silver is coming to terms with being a mage and with the abilities that go with it. With Adam struggling to accept himself and Logan’s Gathering to deal with she isn’t prepared for the Chitah who seems intent on making her his, with or without her permission.
This series is becoming very addictive and there are several reasons for that. The characters are complex and exciting; the reader can easily become emotionally invested in them. The town of Cognito is full of intrigue and the world of paranormal creatures that Dark has created to fill the town has enough interest to keep the readers hooked.
In this story, we get to know Christian who is an ancient vampire with a comeback for any conversation but we also find out how Justice became who he is and as Silver’s guardian it’s an emotional experience.

Disappointing after the rest of the series
I’ve enjoyed the series so far, so would recommend the earlier books. This one feels laboured and I’ve actually stopped without finishing it. The interesting new character Finn doesn’t get enough attention and the romance between Silver and Logan feels flat and dragging on without humour or fun. All a bit dull this time. Sorry! I hate writing poor reviews, but it’s not as good as the previous ones (in my opinion).
