About this listen

Penguin presents the unabridged, downloadable audiobook edition of In Your Prime, written and read by India Knight.

Our mothers' 50 is not our 50. We have no map, no blueprint, no nothing. There is no longer any sense of what is and isn't age appropriate, or even of whether age-appropriateness is still relevant. We're supposed to be grown up, but we seldom feel it.

With In Your Prime, India Knight provides answers to the modern-day dilemmas of getting older.

Part manual, part memoir, part rallying cry for the mildly middle-aged, In Your Prime is the definitive, much-needed guide to ageing with confidence and panache.

Seriously entertaining and informative!

What every middle-aged woman needs at hand and to be passed down through the generations. A very well-read book by its author is worth its weight in gold. Confident, packed with information and secret-revealing. As if you are listening to your best friend telling you all their best-kept secrets. Candid and direct, with no beating around the bush, India Knight is insightful and tremendously reassuring at an age when you need to be surrounded by women who know and have facts to prove it. Buy it, lend it, keep it!

Only half way through

And the list of annoying delusions this woman holds are mounting up. ie, if your husband cheats just once, or just twice, then forgive him because he just needs to know he's still hot, poor man, don't throw away your life for a shag. UMMMMMMMmmmmm what a strange viewpoint. and ......... worse, Single people are only single if they want to be single because most people online are lovely and if you're not silly about height then you'll meet somebody lovely. Ummmmm, again, I can vouch for that not being true. She has some strange ideas about single women and suggests like it's a genius idea that they move in together to avoid being lonely. I cannot think of anything worse. I would prefer my own space. I can go out and then go home alone to my own house. She must be terrified of being alone.
I thought this book would be funny, like ''Does my bum look big in this?'' but it started off listing off products for sale and then got worse as she revealed the huge store she places on being in a marriage at all costs. Yuck.

Disappointing

Gave up on this quite early as fed up
With lists of products I should buy and what not to buy. I love India Knight and her writing's excellent. I've also seen her on stage interviewing Jilly Cooper and she's great which made this all the more disappointing.
