About this listen
In Inside Apple, Adam Lashinsky provides listeners with insight on leadership and innovation. He introduces Apple business concepts, such as the 'DRI' (Apple's practice of assigning a Directly Responsible Individual to every task) and the Top 100 (an annual event at which that year's top 100 up-and-coming executives were surreptitiously transported to a secret retreat with company founder Steve Jobs). Based on numerous interviews, the book reveals exclusive new information about how Apple innovates, deals with its suppliers, and is handling the transition into the Post Jobs Era.
While Inside Apple provides a detailed investigation into this unique company, its lessons about leadership, product design, and marketing are universal. Inside Apple will appeal to anyone hoping to bring some of the Apple magic to their own company, career, or creative endeavour.

Dated
Some of the insights in this book are interesting. But the book was written in 2011 just after Steve Jobs died and the author's conjecture about the future of Apple as he saw it at that time sounds dated and naive given real events. Novels generally age well, pop analysis books not so much.

Gripping
And fascinating.
Im not overly fond of Stevep Jobs management style and this book reinforces my opinion. He was a very unpleasant man. But this book reveals the good stuff too.
It is very well written.
