About this listen

Is Atheism Dead? is an entertaining, impressively wide-ranging, and decidedly provocative answer to that famous 1966 Time cover that itself provocatively asked “Is God Dead?”

In a voice that is by turns witty, muscular, and poetic, Metaxas intentionally echoes C. S. Lewis and G. K. Chesterton in cheerfully and logically making his astonishing case, along the way presenting breathtaking - and often withering - new evidence and arguments against the idea of a Creatorless universe. Taken all together, he shows atheism not merely to be implausible and intellectually sloppy, but now demonstrably ridiculous. Perhaps the only unanswered question on the subject is why we couldn’t see this sooner, and how embarrassed we should be about it.

Science the friend of faith

I have read a quite a few books on the question of faith in our loving creator both for and against the view that it was true and believable.
But this author really opened my eyes to how current scientific discoveries are rapidly giving less comfort to atheists.
Why do we not know more about this is the question most people I believe will feel after reading this book.
It is well presented and read by the author and comprehensively counters all the arguments that atheists and sceptics previously felt were safe harbours for their non belief.

Is Atheism Dead? Most certainly

Brilliantly written and read by Eric Metaxas, Is Atheism Dead? is a thorough and decisive execution of atheistic thought. With the passage of time the Atheistic worldview is skating on increasingly thin ice and Metaxas expertly highlights it’s fundamental flaws.

One can no longer hold to Atheism and dare to call oneself reasonable or intellectually honest.

As to answer Berlinski’s request for a thorough defense of the Christian faith, Eric Metaxas delivers on all accounts.

The new atheist, most notably Cristopher Hitchens and Richard Dawkins, will be remembered as charlatans who produced nothing of notable worth and failed miserably at their attempts to tear down the foundations which they so ungratefully inherited.

Powerful and brilliantly explained

Our secular and atheistic western culture has drip fed us the lie for more than a hundred years that we live in a world of meaningless. Metaxas patiently and humorously challenges this through evidence from science, archaeology and the lives of atheists.
This book needs to be shouted from the rooftops - the Emperor of atheism has no clothes!

scores critical hit after critical hit on the dullism of atheistic dogma and the self serving buffoons enslaved by it.

More than information.

This book provides more than just information. For anyone hoping for succinctness, get your literature-loving friend to read it. They will thank you (because it’s beautifully written) and you will probably hear most of the compelling points as they rave to you about how good it is. Ok, just kidding. You should really give it a go yourself. Spoiler warning; atheism is in fact dead. Be prepared to be less offended than you think you should be when you hear the many reasonable reasons why.
