An enjoyable listen! Cracking chemistry, and warmth between the leads. Expertly narrated, by Angela Dawe.
This is the second book I've listened to by this author and will look forward to reading more of their work. So descriptive, so sensual and so much care around sensitive topics (trauma, body image/ weight).
The intimate scenes were meaningful, incredibly well written, and felt truthful and in alignment with the character's personalities. What a ride! ❤️

Another winner from Jae with Angela Dawe Narrator.
I don't think Jae has actually written a bad book. There are always some books you prefer over others, and this one was a pleasant surprise.
The premise might be cliched, but it's well done with characters that you really care about.
Angela Dawe is one of the best narrators out there. I've listened to multiple books read by her, and each book has its own style. Not an easy feat for any narrator.
All in all, a great author, paired with a great narrator, has me listening to these books again and again.

Great story; great narration
This turned out to be a fabulous ripping yarn - a slow burn romance between two women who, upon first meeting, do not have much in common. The plot of 'fake girlfriend' is a favourite of mine.
A particularly big call out to the wonderful narration of Angela Dawe - she did a really wonderful job - great pace; tone; delivery and differentiation of voices. I really like the way she reads and I have looked up other lesbian romance books she's done.

Not just for show
I love Jae’s work and it gets better and better but what I really liked about this was the characters especially that they reflected really life body sizes. I could relate to Lana who was not a size 6 who ate chocolate and despised salad. Yes the story was predictable but not so much to put me off. Also I loved Lana really sexy voice that’s the best thing about Audio books :)
