About this listen
Falling in love wasn't part of the plan in this lesbian romance from best-selling author Jae.
Susanne Wolff isn't thrilled when her mother sends her all the way across the country to Freiburg to save her uncle's stationery store from bankruptcy. Freiburg is too provincial for her taste, and besides, pen and paper are outdated anyway.
Anja Lamm, Paper Love's only full-time employee, takes an instant dislike to the arrogant, digital-loving snob who's supposed to be her temporary boss.
But thanks to a meddling cat, a business trip to a stationery fair, and an armada of origami boats, Anja soon starts to see beneath Susanne's aloof exterior, and Susanne discovers how sexy pens and notebooks can be - at least when Anja handles them.
As the end of Susanne's three-month stay approaches, will she stick to her plan to leave, or will she open her heart to more than just paper love?
Contains mature themes.

Good book and really good audiobook
I enjoyed the Kindle book engaging characters and story. No great drama or sudden plot twists just a good romance and a desire to visit Frieburg.
Saved the audiobook until I had finished the Kindle edition as in mho you do not want to interrupt an Abby Craden performance to whispersynk.

Different but lovely
I really liked this story, it’s set in Germany in a stationery shop. The characters are great and the narration by Abby Craden is wonderful as always.

A good listen!
This is a slow burn, enemies to lovers storyline, with a good plot, likeable characters and a great European back setting. Excellent narration as always by Abby!

Funny and cute with lots of stationary and a cat!
This is a very slow burn opposites attract, workplace romance set in Freiburg. I personally loved the gentle pace with which Jae brings Anja and Susanne together. The city of Freiburg and German culture come to life on the page. Jae’s attention to the smallest details creates a warm, funny and gentle love story which left me feeling happy and hopeful. Abby Craden’s narration is flawless as always.

loved this
wierd at times to realise it's set in Germany as any food, location, venue or person is referred to with a wierd word which you eventually realise is German! so not wierd! but the rest us narrated in normal amercian by a narrator who has impeccable German, Impeccable American, and an amazing talent for reflecting different characters, and romance parts with perfection. Not often.i love a narrator so much but this one nailed every inch perfectly. Great story, great romance and not smutty or cheesy at all which was refreshing. review from sarah who is hard to please, in the UK. ")

Great performance by Abby Craden
Read characterfully and was most enjoyable the story was not as convincing as other books by Jae. But I still think Jae is a top writer of lesbian fiction and Abby Craden gives brilliant performances.
