About this listen
Widowed omega Quinn Collins loves his son, H. J., more than life, so it kills him that some days H. J. is barely hanging on due to an inherited illness. Quinn devotes most of his time to keeping H. J. healthy, and any leftover energy goes to his art. As far as Quinn is concerned, this is his life now - lonely and stressful, but safe.
Rookie fireman "King" Kingston is an alpha working at the Cherry Hollow firehouse. Freshly trained and ready for action, he throws himself into helping at the station. While assisting with a blood drive, he catches sight - and smell - of Quinn, but quickly learns that the omega is not on the market.
Quinn is terrified of passing on the same illness H. J. struggles with, so he makes the decision to never be with another alpha. Yet somehow, Quinn keeps running into King around town. Quinn can’t fight the allure of King’s innocent interest, not to mention his devastating smile, so Quinn throws down a challenge sure to drive off any alpha. He tells King he won’t spend his heats with him. In the end, King surprises Quinn, in more ways than one.
This 64,000-word story is the fifth book in the Cherry Hollow series.

as great as the ebook
The story is always full stars, because if I wouldn't like the story as ebook, I wouldn't listen to the audiobook. I can't listen to an audiobook without knowing the book, that's not possible for me.
The performance from the narrator is also very important for me. I can't listen to a lot, because my English as a non-native-speaker isn't so perfect to follow a whole story over hours, when the narrator speaks too fast or too sloppy. Normally I have to SEE the person, who is talking to me in English. Stephen van Doren is one of the top 5 narrators (so far) for me, I can listen without break and have no problems to follow.
I'm just not yet finish with the book, just over the half, but I listen enough to give a review.
PLEASE READ MY RATING SYSTEM!!!
To my ratings:

it's like an A+
4* - very good and will be often re-listening
it's like an A
3* - it's more then a one-time-listening.
it's like a B

Quinn and King
It starts of with Quinn having his son at the hospital and remembering the day his husband was killed. Fast forward to today whilst helping at a blood drive and he meets King and the rest is history. very sweet story and narration was great
