Story
When most people think of Michael Jordan, they think of the beautiful shots, his body totally in sync with the ball, hitting nothing but net. He is responsible for incredible moments so ingrained in basketball history that they have their own names: The Shrug, The Shot, The Flu Game. But for all his greatness, there's also a dark side to Jordan: a ruthless competitor, a gambler. There's never been a biography that balanced these personas-until now.

not sure if I got the right book here
I truly respected Kobe and was saddened by his passing, but the version I purchased was poorly narrated or written. The descriptions confusing as the wrong words describing the games, stats and awards throughout the first hour I was only able to listen to were not used correctly. I am going to a book store to see it matches. I bought this based on the previous reviews and wanting to learn more about the Mamba Mentality, but did not learn anything about it. I am either confused or very disappointed with this audio version.

Should be a comedy book
The author of this book must not speak English and the narrator barely does and has never watched an NBA game. This audio book is so ridiculous that it made me laugh out loud several times before I stopped it to write this review and then delete it. The only way you could possibly make it through this thing is if you're one of those people that just has to stare at the side of the road when there's a traffic accident. Unfortunately I cannot give negative stars. Audible should be ashamed to have this thing on their app. Thank God I tried it with a free credit on a free trial. If I had paid for this pile of dog shit I would be livid.

DO NOT BELIEVE THE GOOD REVIEWS!
This HAS to be a psychological experiment by Audible, right? Something to test the threshold of loyal listeners? There’s no way the narrator is human. Definitely sounds like an AI app transcribing the text.
Who knew it was Steven Curry and not Stephen Curry this whole time?!? Apparently the narrator did, multiple times. Also, spoiler alert, Kobe won the dunk contest. Know how I know….the story repeats it at least 10x in the first 1:30:00 of the audio book!
DO NOT listen to this book on a dark highway at night…for yours and other drivers’ safety. To borrow a former NBA player’s term - ‘this book is Trrble.’
