About this listen
Tizzy Donovan is having a run of bad luck. A bakery delivery gone wrong. A bar fight with an old classmate. And the discovery of a dead body in the cemetery.
Texas Ranger Ridge Cooper's luck isn't much better. He's finally gotten his first solo case, and it's in the Podunk town of Brownsboro, Texas. But when he meets local beauty, Tizzy, he thinks his luck is about to change - until she becomes the prime suspect in his case!

Great book!
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
Definitely. It draws you in really quickly and mixes humour with a great feel for Texas. Its a good feel for small town USA, from what I've seen as a tourist.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Laid Out and Candle Lit?
The characters are what make the book and Tizzy is very likeable as is Ridge.
Which scene did you most enjoy?
The entrance of Ridge to Tizzy's life. The characters are all so real and entertaining. The book in general just draws you in.
If you made a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?
Funny? A murder mystery? Can you have both? You can when your laid out and candle lit!
Any additional comments?
The authors sense of humour is present throughout the book. The characters feel real and engaging. It mixes romance, mystery, suspense, paranormal and humour. It jumps genres and is a unique and entertaining book. It twists and turns and polishes it all with humour in a way that falls neatly into place at the end.
