Every love story has two sides. Just as she was flowering into her teens, life uprooted Dawn from the tanned crowds and sunny beaches of southern California. It transplanted her into rainy, rural Washington, where she strove to adjust, mature and thrive. Love came to Dawn - and was ripped from her by events and manipulations she could not control. But Dawn had a core of steel. An emotional castaway, she battled grimly through life's trials and sorrows, safeguarding her heart against further ravages.

Story
The wall just didn’t look right. Alex has been trying to cope. Life after his deployment had been rough. His ex-wife thought he needed to stop disappointing their daughter. She was right. He would try harder. With six hours before his little girl’s fourth birthday party, he saw the anomaly. One wall was too short. Plenty of time to tear out a panel and look behind it. He found a brick wall. His house wasn’t made of brick. Behind that was another just like the first. He still had time. When the second wall came down, Alex stood and stared at the shining doorway.

From the mind of the man Stephen King calls "a master of the macabre", comes a brilliant new collection of no-punches-pulled horror stories, some never-before-collected and many originals that have never been published anywhere before. Bentley Little can take the innocuous, twist it around, and write a story that will change your way of thinking. Walking Alone: Short Stories is a shining example of his talent to scare you, creep you out, and make you shudder.

Fantastic Short Fiction!
After listening to all of the Middle Falls series, I was curious to see how Mr. Inmon did on short fiction, and I was NOT disappointed. These are all fantastic stories, and showcase a different style of writing and imagination from the author. Shawn is great at quickly grabbing your interest and then developing a story that holds onto you until the very last word. His characters are all very interesting and believable, and have a satisfying depth to them even in a short space of time and words. Mr. Tiedemann did an awesome job of narrating the stories also; his ability to give different voices to the characters that sound so natural, and maintain your interest in the story until the end is really great. This is a great collection of stories that crosses different genres; there's suspense, humor, melancholy, sadness, excitement, and hope embedded in this collection in the form of these 13 stories. Well worth your time; you will not be disappointed!
