Summary

From the mind of the man Stephen King calls "a master of the macabre", comes a brilliant new collection of no-punches-pulled horror stories, some never-before-collected and many originals that have never been published anywhere before. Bentley Little can take the innocuous, twist it around, and write a story that will change your way of thinking. Walking Alone: Short Stories is a shining example of his talent to scare you, creep you out, and make you shudder.

Disappointed

Many of the stories end abruptly and just seem half hearted and unfinished. I continued until the end in the vain hope it would improve alas it did not.

Hmmm…

Strange stuff I must say. We’re ok but I found some of them odd, uninteresting and rather boring. I love Bentley Little so was worth a go

KAZ🇬🇧😃 DISGUSTING PERVERTED FILTH! 🤢😡🤢

Some of these so called stories are absolutely disgusting filth & should have something warning that some content is only fit for adult's especially 1 of them called The Feeb it's not a horror story it's pure filth it actually made me want to throw my gut's up Maybe I'm being a bit touchy but listen to it & see how it make's you feel I wouldn't give this book to my enemy I'd throw this pure shit into the nearest bin Unfortunately nothing I've written will make a difference but hopefully some people will read this before wasting there money Can't give minus unfortunately so thumbs down 👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎

An interesting read

I really enjoyed the book and the narrators, I didn’t find any issues to do with the audio or the narrators, I really enjoy this type of thing.

Gets better and better

It’s unfortunate that one of the previous listeners gave up on this anthology after only two hours. I agree that some of the early stories were flawed and not as engaging as most of Little’s fiction. However, because the stories are compiled in chronological order, one can really see how Little’s writing evolved and improved over time. Fans of Bentley Little’s work are sure to find many creepy gems in this collection, if they stick with it.

Cringy narration of female voices

The stories were entertaining and most of the narration was good but the men trying to do female characters parts were awful. whiny and over dramatic.

Had to check him out

I did enjoy most of the stories, a couple were disturbing and some left me hanging. I guess I am just trying to find the next S. K. to keep me scared.

hit and misses everywhere

Bentley is my favorite Horror author hands down but when it comes to his short story work its IMO literally Hits and Misses with no middle ground. the Hits would make Great full books ,even some of the misses could be salvaged with more depth and context. overall very mixed bag for me. The narratiors where all great though

I just can't!

I tried. I'm returning this book. I've listened to two hours of it and I can't listen to another second. Bentley Little is just hit or miss for me. This one is a big miss. It's just weird. Not even good weird, but like half a thought weird. It doesn't make me think about fascinating things I haven't thought before or scare me at all. It makes me think that there really must be more to that story, but there isn't. It reminds me of reading a short story from the 6th grade. It goes nowhere. I'm sorry. I feel awful, but it's just not that good. None of the stories so far are worth the listen for me. And the narrator... I thought before it was that particular book, but I"m not a fan of the narrator either. :-( Again.. I feel bad. It's just not his best work for me at all. Or even acceptable work quite frankly. This should have have stayed unpublished.

Classic Bentley Little

These stories certainly put the BITE in bite sized. I love how he can make over the top, over used horror tropes hilarious.

Great short stories many of which you can find yourself wishing they were longer. Great narration to all of them.
