Summary
You'll be wincing in recognition and scratching your head in incredulity, but like Marian herself you won't be able to stop laughing at the sheer delightful absurdity that is modern life - because each and every one of us is clearly making it up as we go along. She has wonderful and tickling words of advice for those fast approaching 50.

Disappointing
I am a huge fan of Marian Keyes but this book is not worth spending your valuable time or money. It's full of trivia, neither funny nor witty and I did not enjoy the way the narrator read it out.

Unfortunately Average
Would you try another book written by Marian Keyes or narrated by Aoife McMahon?
Marian Keyes is a hugely popular author but this was my first read of one of her books. There were a few wry smiles here and there but on balance, the book is just boring. I managed to get about half way through and then my interest was well and truly lost.
I've read lots my narrator Aoife McMahon - she's first class !
Would you ever listen to anything by Marian Keyes again?
I'd have to try another Keyes book based on feedback from other readers. Maybe I was unlucky on this occasion.

Totally inane
Pointless drivel which glorifies the fine detail of make up and general beautification . But there is obviously a market for it.

Entertaining x
Entertaining. Great titlle. Thats what most atracted me to purchase. I have to say it listens more like a partial memoir. And yes Marian, it does seem you are constantly on a holiday.
I felt it ended a little abruptly but will listen to it again and look forward to listening to more from Marian Keynes x

Mixed bag!
Any additional comments?
Several of the early chapters are pretty funny. Some are, well, a bit silly, and not in a good way! A couple, are a little boring. The best chapters are where Keyes writes seriously about depression, addiction and womens issues. The narration is excellent.

Fab Narration!
Spot on with the accent and delivery - could have been the author reading her own book.

So many parts of this I could relate to. Love how she refers to her husband as "himself" all the way through. Again the narrating was amazing. Such depth and quality.
