Summary

From Colleen Hoover, the #1 New York Times bestselling author of It Ends With Us, a heart-wrenching love story that proves attraction at first sight can be messy.

When Tate Collins meets airline pilot Miles Archer, she doesn't think it's love at first sight. They wouldn’t even go so far as to consider themselves friends. The only thing Tate and Miles have in common is an undeniable mutual attraction. Once their desires are out in the open, they realize they have the perfect set-up. He doesn’t want love, she doesn’t have time for love, so that just leaves the sex. Their arrangement could be surprisingly seamless, as long as Tate can stick to the only two rules Miles has for her.

Never ask about the past.
Don’t expect a future.

They think they can handle it, but realize almost immediately they can’t handle it at all.

Hearts get infiltrated.
Promises get broken.
Rules get shattered.
Love gets ugly.

Another really good story from Colleen Hoover. Miles’ narration didnt match the image I had in my head, but still a really enjoyable listen.

Nice story but nothing special

This book was a pleasant listen but there was very little plot and what felt like a lot of repetition. It’s an easy listen to though which I liked.

Refreshing

I loved listening to this book, it was refreshing to listen to an original story. It kept me hooked to the very end, I have not been able to finish an audiobook in a while as I kept losing interest. This is the third book I’ve read by Colleen and they have all been a really good listen.
Thank You 🙏🏾

A great read

The story line is just what you hope it to be from the start. I wish it was a sequel!

Good story!

I really liked the story and would definitely recommend however listening to the audio book I did not like miles voice at all. I felt like it didn’t suit his character in my head

Little bit repetitive and predictable

Ok, so firstly I don’t like to criticise authors, because if I tried to write a novel it would be utter trash.
However, I will say I feel this story was very predictable from early on into the book, quite repetitive and a bit cringey and boring.

It’s basically a young lad who was scorned and wants a casual relationship with a woman six years later, the woman wants more bla bla, they have loads of sex it becomes complicated, feelings get hurt yada yada.

For people who enjoyed the Fifty Shades novel, I’m sure this will be an enjoyable listen. It’s pretty much an erotic novel, with two people who aren’t actually that deep or interesting leading the story.

He’s a pilot she’s a nurse, which I thought would maybe help me relate to her being a nurse but her career is never mentioned which I thought may have helped give each of the characters a bit more dimension and depth. It’s as if their identity is reliant on the relationship they share.

I listened to the whole book, struggling at times but I didn’t want to waste the credit, which I used on the basis of hearing good things about the author.
Personally I was not thrilled with the book or gripped by its story. Bit boring and quite cringey. Sadly, without trying to disrespect the authors hard work I would not recommend.
