About this listen

Seasons change, and so do fashion trends. But in this heartstring-tugging PsyCop short, what's beneath the clothes matters most.

Do clothes make the man? Jacob Marks cuts an impressive figure in his tailored suits, but Victor Bayne is another story. Nowadays, Vic does his ghosthunting in off-the-rack blazers, polyester blend slacks and cop shoes with nonskid soles. But back before he was a PsyCop - or even officially psychic - he rocked combat boots and a beat up biker jacket, and lots and lots of punk T-shirts. When he finds a faded tee in the back of a drawer, he's eager to lob it in the trash. Jacob, however, finds himself waxing sentimental about Vic's younger, more carefree days.

This steamy 5000-word PsyCop short in Jacob's voice takes place after PsyCop #6, GhosTV.

Short but sweet!

4.5*

This short story gives us a glimpse into Jacob and Vic's everyday life and a rare hint of Vic's past. No ghosts or mystery to solve, but the chemistry between these two guys continues to sizzle.

Told from Jacob's POV, it gives us a different perspective on their relationship and shows us a typical Saturday within the house they share.

Gomez Pugh's narration is superb as always and his deep husky voice for Jacob is sensual.

Short, hot, sweet perfection

As a huge fan of the Psycop series, this short story was a little side step from the usual full on spooky goings on. It is a little vignette from the POV of Jacob Marks, MC Victor Bayne's partner.
Vic finds an old T-shirt in a drawer that reminds him of his youth, the description of a leather clad, willowy young man in the midst of a mosh pit sends Jacob's thoughts to sex and sentimentality.
I loved hearing Jacob's POV for a change. I adore Gomez Pugh's deep seductive 'Jacob' voice' and found myself listening to this short with a goofy smile on my face.
Just sublime.
