Summary

Disappointing
This book seemed like it started off well, but soon turned into ‘female abandons her dreams and views’ and ‘something must be wrong with women who don’t want children’ 🤔🤔

Absolutely loved it
This is the first Adele Parks book I’ve ever read and could not put it down
I listened to it within 24 hrs and loved every moment
It had me gasping in horror at the revelations and loved how it ended
Highly Recommended

The book was unexpectedly funny
This was my first audio and wasn’t expecting to enjoy the book but I was sucked in straight away and throughly enjoyed every minute of it

Poor Ending
I absolutely loved this book until the last chapter where it all fell apart for me. It was refreshing to read a book about a deliberately child-free woman, and I felt the character really resonated. However the final chapter ruined all of this, resulting in a tired and stale ending.

Disappointing storyline/ending!
Was looking forward to this due to the unusual plot for a romance novel. Refreshing, I thought. But I was utterly disappointed! Noone in this story seems to have heard of the concept of consent and everyone is patronising the main character. No wonder though, the book was published in 2010... (and thankfully, a few things have changed for the better since then!) The only positive thing worth mentioning is the narrator who does a great job.

Narraters voice extremely off putting
Fan of Adele Parks books but disappointed with this audio from the off, the Narrater has a tone of voice that was hard to listen too, I have had to stop it short…disappointing
