Summary

Miss Busby investigates a murder at Little Minton.

A picturesque Cotswolds village at Christmas, 1922. A man found face down floating in the lake. He was known to take risks: an insurance salesman—debonair, charming, and sweet-talking.

His clients were all ladies of a certain age, but nothing was as it seemed; he was playing a game, he pushed his luck, he put a price on his head, and somebody decided to collect.

Miss Busby helped Major Heathcliff Lennox solve a series of murders at Bloxford in the Cotswolds. Now, she finds herself drawn into a new murder, but this time, it's just her, and she must rely on her sharp mind and sharper wits to catch a Cotswolds killer, along with a handsome police inspector and a reporter who's keen to make her mark.

Full of twists and turns, Miss Busby Investigates: Murder at Little Minton is a real mystery that will keep you guessing until the very end. With its strong protagonist and charming Christmas setting, this book is a must-listen for fans of classic whodunits and cozy mysteries alike.

Another series?

I love the Heathcliffe Lennox series and this is a lovely beginning to hopefully another of the same ilk. Contrary to some other reviewers I enjoyed the cast of characters and hope to hear more from them soon. The narration was superb with good definition between the various people. More PLEASE!

Great festive listen

This was so easy to listen to and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I loved the descriptive nature of 1930s village/small town life. The narration was also brilliant and I could easily pick out the sound of the various characters after a few chapters. Would recommend especially if you are a fan of the Heathcliff Lennox series!!!

Such an entertaining and beautifully crafted story. Wonderful narration too. Listened at Christmas too, so very season appropriate. Thank you!

Poor man’s Miss Marple!

Really disappointed as I was expecting it to be my next look forward to series, instead it was just a plod along story with no twists or turns really. Even the characters were drab and it felt like I’d heard it all before in other books! Even down to the fact that there was both a dog and cat in it !!!
I loved the character in the Major Heathcliff Lennox series and was hopeful that this would run along side that amazing series but it falls short!

Not a patch on Heathcliffe Lennox

There’s always been something special and unique about the Heathcliffe Lenox books, but this is just so predictable and the characters are nothing special. What a shame.

Where’s the wit…

Excellent narration made this bearable background for naps and housekeeping… but the writer’s wit and clever plots that made me a devotee of the Heathcliff Lennox series were not evident in this- sort of parody…
