Summary

An addictive crime mystery audiobook perfect for fans of Agatha Christie, Dorothy L. Sayers, Faith Martin, J.R. Ellis, LJ Ross, Miss Marple and Midsummer Murders!

Lesley Cookman's best-selling series featuring amateur sleuth Libby Sarjeant is back for its second instalment.

There is something not quite right about the death of her aunt...and psychic investigator Fran Castle is sure of it. The will is missing, and long-lost relatives are obstructing the case, both of which are suspicious on their own, even before the bodies start piling up....

Luckily, nothing is likely to stop Fran's sleuthing partner, Libby, from getting involved to help hunt down the murderer. As the murders multiply and the police take over, can the amateur sleuths keep on the trail?

Enjoyable

Book review:
Another entertaining mystery for Libby and her friend Fran to solve, with some interesting twists and turns. 4*. Looking forward to the next one.

General comment:
Having listened to this audiobook straight after the previous one it was a bit disconcerting to have a different narrator. I don’t know who’s decision this was or why it was made but it looks like the next book is back to the original narrator, so more adjustments to be made.

Recording review:
A couple of quality issues with the recording.
The intro is labelled as Chapter 1, meaning every subsequent chapter is one out from the book and the narration.
At one stage a random voice is heard saying “Disc 5” or something similar in amongst the dialogue.
Chapter 37 (or Chapter 36!) includes Chapter 38 (or Chapter 37!) so the final reveal to the group appears twice.

Something went wrong. Please try again in a few minutes.
