Hilarious, tragic and always honest
Never felt so affected by an audiobook before. You made me feel like i was right there with the two of you, in the good times and bad. You humanised and celebrated your best friend in this book and I can only say thank you, Tyler for loving Amy when everyone else had practically given up. Congratulations on 13 years of sobriety (I've just hit 10 months myself). What a brilliant listen that was.

Tyler's honest love for Amy
Tyler's voice has been the album that Amy would have eventually written. One about friendship, struggles with fame, addiction and sobriety. I don't think you don't even need to know who Amy was to love this story and to acknowledge how unconditional love is what we are all after. I think Tyler loved this way.

A heartbreaking story of codependancy
This is the saddest book I have ever heard, it was heartbreaking. It couldn't be narrated by anyone but Tyler and you can feel his despair and the times he was clinging on to hope - just. I wish Tyler had followed his own star earlier on instead of sacrificing his best years - although he won't see it that way. An excellent book deserving of all the praise.

Wow
What a truly remarkable book.
A love story, a story of true friendship and a revelation to me about addiction.
What a man and friend Tyler
is. What an incredible human Amy was.
Thank you for writing this. It moved me to feel things I’ve buried myself for years & I cannot begin to imagine how it must’ve been for the author.

inevitable but tragic
I loved this book.Tyler went through hell himself but still looked after his best friend every day. It shows that drug and alcohol addiction is not a lifestyle choice but an illness. Amy did not have the strength of mind or body to get herself out of this horrendous situation. It did not help that everyone around her was suffering too.
And the people responsible for looking out for her let her down so badly.
The record industry needs to take a long hard look at itself. It's very much got blood on it's hands.

Just brilliant!!!
I can’t recommend this book enough for any Amy Winehouse fan!! Tyler’s love for Amy is so evident in the way he speaks about her and equally heartbreaking.

Touching
A fantastic book, made even more touching and real due to it being read by Tyler. You feel like you there with him reliving every moment. Raw and intense and hard to put down.
