About this listen

From the authors of the best-selling series CHERRINGHAM.

This compilation contains episodes 4-6:

MURDER WORE A MASK

Lavinia's annual Masked Ball at Mydworth Manor is a highlight of the season - but the lavish party comes to a full stop when one of the guests is found dead down by the lake. Harry and Kat suspect that the dead man was the victim of a clever case of murder. And the killer's work is not yet done...

DEADLY CARGO

Mydworth's Excelsior Radio Company is world-famous for its expensive radio-phonographs. But then its delivery lorries start being hijacked, and the very future of the company is in doubt. Is this just about stolen radios - or is there something more secret and dangerous going on?

DANGER IN THE AIR

The famous aviatrix Amelia Earhart has come to England on a mission to raise money for her planned continent-spanning air rally. But when Amelia's life is threatened, Harry and Kat must figure out who is behind this deadly game before it turns fatal.

Nathaniel Parker, born in 1962, graduated from the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art and went on to join the Royal Shakespeare Company. His television career began in 1988 when he played Flying Officer "Flash" Gordon in the LWT mini-series Piece of Cake. He is also the lead in the BBC series The Inspector Lynley Mysteries, based on the novels by Elizabeth George. Nathaniel Parker has an extensive list of audio books to his credit, ranging from the classics of Charles Dickens and Thomas Hardy to more modern writings and children's books.

Great listen, exciting narrative

I loved the characters of these books, brought to life very well with the narration by Nathaniel Parker.

Poor Production/Editing for an Audiobook

I do enjoy these series (not quite as much as Cherringham), but the stories are interesting and novel.

The narration is spot on and it’s a thoroughly enjoyable listen. I have one gripe though:
It’s challenging enough to differentiate between the books, it was made even more annoying because firstly, in the chapter selection, the books are not divided and annotated. Secondly, the chapters are not broken off at the end/beginning of the actual chapters! There are Far More chapters in each book than there are literal chapters. Finding your place is really difficult!

It’s not an Audible production, it’s a German audio group - they may be cheaper than Audible, who knows - but it shows.
