About this listen
This stirring fable captures a new spirit of Christianity - where personal, daily interaction with God is more important than institutional church structures, where faith is more about a way of life than a system of belief, where being authentically good is more important than being doctrinally "right," and where one's direction is more important than one's present location. Brian McLaren's delightful account offers a wise and wondrous approach for revitalizing Christian spiritual life and Christian congregations.

What Christianity needs today
I love the work of Brian McLaren.
His book opens up a new way of thinking about religion and how to be a new kind of Christian within it.

a challenging read
my reactions to this book were akin to Disney's Rapunzel after she left the tower, swinging from Joy and excitement to loss and fear in a moment. this book will challenge and excite any Christian who has ever thought "is this it?.
McLaren offers a glimpse into a different possibility of Christianity. a departure from what has been into what could be.
I found the accents a little distracting but not enough to affect the content. This book allows for a different kind of conversation to begin, it is a catalyst for real discourse. "What if Salvation is an invitation to become part of the solution instead of part of the problem" ... let the conversation begin.
