About this listen
Manhattan Assistant District Attorney Roger "Butch" Karp has been around New York long enough to realize that the judicial system can be dirty and cynical. But he still believes in justice. So when a vicious sociopath tries to dodge a brutal murder charge by convincing the court he is incompetent to stand trial, Karp teams up with firecracker Assistant DA Marlene Ciampi to unleash the full force of their relentless energy, hardboiled wit, and passion for the truth to put the killer away for good. They will accept no lesser plea.

A brilliant courtroom drama
I really enjoyed listening to this courtroom drama. It has lots of twists and turns throughout and the man narrating this book is brilliant. I must recommend it.

a little pointless
if your in to legal thrillers give this one a wide birth. it starts off well, then strangley wonders into the realm of unbelievable stupidity. From parties with guns from the evidence locker to infiltrating a Mental hospital. honestly why did i continue with it?? 🤣

Not for me.. Too much irrelevant jargon
It's no good.. I tried to listen, skipping the irrelevant parts, enjoying the 'actual' storyline, accepting the booming narrative, but chapter 12 finished me off!
