Summary

A potent new drug has hit the streets of Kinloch, and DCI Daley and Scott are struggling to catch the notorious gang behind this evil trade.

After a party of Oxford students arrives in town for a camping trip before a Himalayan expedition, one of the group seeks out an illegal high and is violently assaulted. However, these students are well connected, and this brings further unexpected problems for Daley. Ultimately, he and Scott will discover crimes as disturbing in nature as anything they have ever confronted.

No as good as previous

Although I enjoyed this book it wasn't as good as the previous ones in the series. Give us more Hamish and his ramblings.

Not disappointed

Another winner! Don't like to say 'as usual' but that's what it is - the usual 5 star story and performance. I was a bit worried that Hamish was leaving, but thank goodness he's still there. Thank you, Mr Meyrick.

Superb

Well written and beautifully narrated. As alway a mix of gritty crime and humour. This author never disappoints.

Cracking story

A book of the times - drugs, kidnappings and killings. I have missed Daley and Scott and enjoyed listening to this book.
Daley a bit darker and Scott even funnier.
Nice to hear from Ella - Scott’s wife.

Great story line

The narrator has the characters down to a T, great humour especially from Brian. Have heard all Denzil’s books and look forward to the next one …..please!!! Would make a great TV series..

Ok

Not as funny or intriguing or as complex as his other books, so I've gone with ok. Hopefully the next one is back to the usual great standard.
