Summary
Born in a prison and removed from his drug-dependent mother, rejection is all that 7-year-old Alex knows.
When Cathy is asked to foster little Alex, aged seven, her immediate reaction is: Why can't he stay with his present carers for the last month? He's already had many moves since coming into care as a toddler and he'll only be with her a short while before he goes to live with his permanent adoptive family. But the present carers are expecting a baby and the foster mother isn't coping, so Alex goes to live with Cathy.
He settles easily and is very much looking forward to having a forever family of his own. The introductions and move to his adoptive family go well. But Alex is only with them for a week when problems begin. What happens next is both shocking and upsetting, and calls into question the whole adoption process.

another fantastic book by this author.
Would you consider the audio edition of Nobody's Son to be better than the print version?
I am visually impaired so i rely on the audio copy so this is not aplicable to me.
What other book might you compare Nobody's Son to, and why?
would compare this book to will you love me as the story mainly focused on adoption and what can go wrong if a child is given negative experiences.
What does Denica Fairman bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you had only read the book?
She reads with emotion and manages to create identaties for all the characters seperately so you know who is speaking and get a feel for the character.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
yes.
Any additional comments?
fantastic as usual, i always look forward to this authors books.

Just amazing
Yet again another amazing book by Cathy glass, she has an amazing ability to make you feel every book, regardless of if you read it of it being read to you, but either way it's definitely worth it.

Bought by mistake
I bought this by mistake - I didn't realise the 'genre' and kept waiting for the story to get going. Overall I would never have bought s book like this but I listened to it and it confirmed exactly what I had suspected books of this genre are like. I found it a patronising description of how the author is a perfect person and highly patronising. Sorry - just not my thing!

I found it syrupy and slow, both story and narration. I grew up in care! .

Fabulous Author
I listened to one of Cathy Glass’ books by pure coincidence and after the first 2 chapters I was hooked! This is the third book of her collection and it’s equally as fantastic as the first 2 and I’m already about to purchase book number 4!

Poor Alex will he find a ‘forever home’
Yet again another well written and well narrated book by Kathy Glass. Life has changed for Kathy family & her two children but she still decides to foster children in need and that’s when Alex turns up….
