About this listen
My name is Reyna Miracle. Even though a part of my name is Miracle, there's nothing miraculous about me. My body portrays the tales of my life. Every feeling, every heartbreak, every emotion. Marked. Inked. Stained. A walking canvas of my messed up truth.
But there's one confession I can't put in a tattoo. A confession that will kill me to tell, but my best friend died before I had the chance.
Now I'm left with him. The only one who can hold me in the night and squeeze that spot on my neck that feels like my lifeline between sanity and chaos.
But we don't work together. We're absolute poison for each other. We're a stifling, suffocating, sickness of darkness.
But I feel safe...because I've made an art of pushing people away.
Now he's pushing back....
And making me believe....
Making me wonder....
Maybe, just maybe....
I could be the one.

Review Left after reading:
I have to say that when I started this book, I really thought I wasn't going to enjoy it. I didn't take to the lead Reyna and thought I was going to struggle but then boom, I was 50% in, really routing for Rey and thought there's no way I can stop now, I have to finish this book to see how everything pans out.
This is not a sickly sweet romance. The characters are dark and gritty and the story covers some real emotional topics, but for me, that's what makes this book stand out. Interesting and engrossing characters that are multi dimensional and when the characters do have that edge to them it makes the romance and HEA all the sweeter.
I had not read anything from Amy before but that won't be the case after this. I hadn't read the previous books in this series and didn't feel I missed out so would definitely say this could be read as a S/A. I would more than happily recommend this book.
Audible review:
I have to say that when I initially started listening to this, I wasn't sure I would be able to continue as the British accents were too Dick Van Dyke circa Mary Poppins, but thankfully I did get used to it and once I was able to push it to the back. That being sais, I did enjoy this on audio and it is a great book.

Fantastic series
Loving this series so much, but I've got to say I struggled to be sympathetic to Reyna. I found her to be cruel, selfish and pretty much, not a nice person. She was a dreadful best friend, girlfriend and daughter. I loved the story, and I loved the the characters (all except Reyna). Liam was adorable, maybe even perfect, I loved that all the characters tie in with each other from previous and future books. Second chance, friends to lovers, love story. A must for Amy Daws fans. I can't seem to get enough of this series.
