About this listen

Unknowingly betrayed by one of his own, Harry Brigandshaw returns from the dead. But salvaging all that he’s lost comes at a price....

The Tutsi tribe have kept him captured for more than two years, with his disappearance extensively reported worldwide. Ingeniously escaping in 1931, Harry heads for Dar es Salaam. Dishevelled and unrecognisable, he hides on the beaches waiting for a ship to dock. But little does he know all that has happened, with Colonial Shipping stolen....

Securing his berth, he convinces the captain of who he is, only to learn of the duplicity. Harry needs to weigh up the options open to him. But on arrival in England, Harry is rushed to hospital, critically ill. His whereabouts undisclosed....

Harry will need all his strength to recover and fight back, but is it all too late?

On the Brink of Tears is the fifth novel in the Brigandshaw Chronicles–a multigenerational saga of courageous people living through the rise and fall of the Anglo-Saxon Empire.

Brilliant...!

As usual Peter does not disappoint,...
Loving this series so now straight over book 6.
Alex is also a brilliant narrator, so easy to listen to and so good voicing the characters.
