About this listen
To gain ‘time freedom’ and sanity, you must plan for the business to run without you long before it has the ability or revenue to.
Did you start your own service-based business because after becoming great at what you do, it made sense to take the next logical step and become the master of your own time and destiny?
And did the reality then set in when you realized you have little to zero business experience? Things like how to grow a business, which processes and systems to use, how to find customers and communicate with them, how to find and retain a good team … let alone achieving the dream of stepping away from it all and letting it run with minimal input from you!
As ‘just an accountant’, Tracy didn’t know any of that either; and although she made plenty of mistakes and lost her sanity many times along her journey to success, she built a six-figure UK business using the blueprint she shares with you in this book. She now runs her company (with minimal input!) while living her dream life in Spain.
Michael Gerber, the author of the E-Myth, famously said, “If you scale a small business with cracks, all you do is amplify the problems as you grow”. This book will help to ensure no cracks are created in the first place … or if you already have a few, you can fill them so they don’t grow, but YOU do.

A treasure trove of entrepreneurial knowledge
As a business owner I'm always trying to improve. One way to do that is by listening to other peoples experience and trying to learn from them. In this book Tracy has shared a wealth of knowledge from her years of experience. She talks about the highs and lows she's been through and does so in a genuine way. I'm sure that this books will benefit any business owner, new or old. I'll certainly be going back over it and taking some notes.

Empowering Insights for Business Freedom
I just completed the Audible version of 'One, Two...Free' by Tracy Irwin and was thoroughly impressed.
This book is essential for anyone starting or running a service-based business, honestly, it will save you years of working this stuff out for yourself if you ever do. Tracy's journey from 'just an accountant' to building a successful six-figure business in the UK is both inspiring and instructive. Her blueprint for gaining 'time freedom' and maintaining sanity while growing a business is practical and easy to follow.
The book covers crucial aspects of business growth, such as selecting the right processes and systems, effective customer communication, and building a reliable team. It offers great insights, especially for those aiming to run their business with minimal input. A business that can run without you is freedom, a business that needs you to run is a ball and chain.
I was particularly enlightened about employee ownership, a topic not often covered in other business Audible books I've listened to.
One small point of feedback: I noticed some repetition, which I assume is due to being missed in the editing process, but no big deal.
The overall performance was excellent. Hearing a 'northern' British female accent in the predominantly American business development section was refreshing. Tracy's language was relatable, speaking to me, not down to me.
'One, Two...Free' not only guides you to avoid or fix the 'cracks' in your business but also inspires personal growth as your business expands.

Great book and very practical takeaways ✅
What I really liked about this book is the long list of takeaways I have to go and implement in my own business.
Listening to how Tracey has moved to Spain while still making her business better is inspiring and is something I’d wish to do.
Well worth the read if you want some practical tips to make your business better 🙌💯
