After a harrowing tour in Afghanistan, intelligence officer Amy Cornwall is eager to return home to her husband and their young daughter. But as soon as she steps into the house, she knows that something is terribly wrong.

Her family is missing.

The kidnappers leave a message: if she wants to see her husband and daughter alive again, Amy must complete a near impossible task...and she has 48 hours to do it.

She'll do whatever it takes to bring them home.

LISTEN TO THIS....

This is an edge of the seat book. I had to put it several times, it was too much, but, I carried on! The plot was wonderful. Two very, very brave, but let down ladies. It is a really good book to listened to. I think it is the best James Patterson book that I have read, but I have not read all his books yet.

Good True and Trusted Thriller Story

Just what I would expect from a book bearing the name of James Patterson. A true and trusted format giving all the ingredients needed to fill all of requirements required of a thriller from start to finish. A good start that gives all of the background to keep you listening and then gently adding the twists and turns as more characters are introduced until the final few chapters when everthing falls into place and the whole story is brought to its fatal conclusion with everybody getting their justified rewards (apart of course from the poor CID operative who only gets her reward of a loving family in death). A really good listen that kept drawing me back, whenever I got a quiet moment, to just sit and move on to the installement.

Couldn’t listen

I’m sure that the story is great so I’ll give the book a try but I couldn’t listen as it sounds like it’s being read by a robot

Patterson churning them out.

Sadly, too many books and year and they all seem to be mediocre compared to his earlier books.

Boring, dragged out storyline

Had lots of positive reviews so I decide to try it but it was one of the most boring books to listen to. Storyline is dragged out beyond what was needed and the ending was poor. Kept listening thinking it would get better but it didn't. wouldn't recommend
