Joanna is a force stronger than she realises in this sometimes sad, sometimes happy rollercoaster. Even for someone who follows her career, the revelations strike deeper notes because they're told from her perspective. I'm so happy that she was brave enough to let us in this way. Congratulations Jo on a job superbly done.

Super interesting, loved the way it was written. I listened to the audiobook so even better to have Joanna reading it. Throughout the book there are some descriptions that are very visual and I really loved that. I didn't write them down but I remember for example she described her feelings like "a t-shirt in a tornado" at some point.

I've written down a few quotes that I really like and want to remember. Sharing them here:

“If you’re not happy. Stop acting like a victim and make a change.”

“Why was I always assuming I knew how things were gonna go aka not in my favor before they had a chance to happen?”

“This non date was the datiest date I’ve been on in years.”

I’ve been a fan since the beginning, jojo has been by far my favorite artist and getting an insight into her life has been absolutely everything! On the edge of my seat the whole time. Hooked!!

I cant imagine what I must’ve been like for Joanna to be so young in such a messed up industry. She has been through so much, she’s very inspiring. I was lucky enough to see her perform in Dublin last year and was blown away by her talent…as I knew I would be. Delighted to see her work on Broadway, a natural progression for her!
