Summary
Stephen's god died on the longest day of the year....
Three years later, Stephen is a broken paladin, living only for the chance to be useful before he dies. But all that changes when he encounters a fugitive named Grace in an alley and witnesses an assassination attempt gone wrong. Now the pair must navigate a web of treachery, beset on all sides by spies and poisoners, while a cryptic killer stalks one step behind....
From the Hugo and Nebula Award-winning author of Swordheart and The Twisted Ones comes a saga of murder, magic, and love on the far side of despair.

Delightful, witty and more than a little strange
Thoroughly enjoyable, and a perfect match of narrator to novel. I can't wait to treat myself to the next one (and hopefully get a little glimpse of Grace in passing). I adored Swordheart but couldn't get on with the narration of the audiobook, I'm very happy to be enjoying the author's other works in the same world as much as the hard copies.

Simply exquisite!
This was an incredible book!
The world building was so intriguing; the characters well written and multifaceted; the descriptions and prose was on point, and the plot well paced and interesting.
The best, though, was the odd mix of grim topics and dry humour. The story had me choked up or grimacing one moment, then laughing the next.

Oddly enjoyable
Took a punt on this one as it was free. Really enjoyable story. I had no idea how it was going to play out. I liked the fact the characters are older and more worldly

Such a fun read!
This story has been written and told in such a way it had me laughing out loud and then holding my breath in anticipation. Some parts honestly feel like the sort of conversations that would happen at a DnD table. This left me with very warm feelings towards the characters, I am getting the next book just a soon as this review is posted.

Paladins Grace
Very enjoyable story and whilst a romance it was also a fine adventure or was it the other way round. I am enjoying the work of T Kingfisher greatly and will be looking for a fifth story to listen to. Before I forget the narrator Jesse Vilinsky did an excellent job bringing everything to life.

Just what I wanted
I was really hoping the 3rd book would feature galen! I felt that after Stephan and Istvhan found their loves that Galen needed to as well. This book had just as much plot as the first two though. I was a bit unsure where the story would go as the author chose to solve the mystery of the smoothe men at the end of the second book but I think this new mystery worked well. All in all an enjoyable conclusion to the trilogy.

Great
I enjoyed this story, I liked the characters, the pace was a bit slow, but I couldn't help been drawn in by the characters and curious as to what was going on. Some of the characters already featured in 'Swordheart' also by T. Kingfisher, I really love the world she's created especially with such well fleshed out characters. I didn't feel a lot happened in this story, or at least it was slow to unfold, but I still enjoyed it.

A suspense, mystery, romance with Paladins
I thoroughly enjoyed this book. The two leads are flawed but likable with thier own strengths and weaknesses.
The perfumer is enjoyably written and gi wn agency. her struggle to know what rp say and over thinking is exceedingly relatable. as is her reaction to a despicable ex.
I finished this and within 5 min downloaded book 2

Enjoyable story, disliked narration
I enjoyed the story and the development of the characters but did not like the narration. It got better / you got used to it but I think the book would benefit from a more animated narrator.
