Summary
They came to earth—Pestilence, War, Famine, Death—four horsemen riding their screaming steeds, racing to the corners of the world. Four horsemen with the power to destroy all of humanity. They came to earth, and they came to end us all.
When Pestilence comes for Sara Burn’s town, one thing is certain: everyone she knows and loves is marked for death. Unless, of course, the angelic-looking horseman is stopped, which is exactly what Sara has in mind when she shoots the unholy beast off his steed.
Too bad no one told her Pestilence can’t be killed.
Now the horseman, very much alive and very pissed off, has taken her prisoner, and he’s eager to make her suffer. Only, the longer she’s with him, the more uncertain she is about his true feelings towards her, and hers towards him.
And now, well, Sara might still be able to save the world, but in order to do so, she'll have to sacrifice her heart in the process.

Beautiful
Give me a second to collect my emotions.

This was freaking beautiful. I even cried.
I so recommend this. I’m actually really interested in getting the book. I need this in my collection.
If this ever gets turned into a tv series or manga or movie, I’m so gonna watch it.
The only thing I would have loved even more was if we could have gotten his perspective in the story. What went trough his brain the first time he tasted food or all the other things, like the staking.
That would have been interesting.

Brutal, Sweet, Romantic, world ending
This is one of those stories that skirts the line between Paranormal romance and apocalyptic adventure. Generally you can tell a story PNR because without the love story the plot falls apart but this one... well I think it still stand on its own two feet. I The story Is Brutal in places, revealing the worst of human Nature and its tender and redemptive in others. a slow burn enemies to Lovers romance and while the "spice" is extra hot in places, it more than balances things out by giving us a whole lot more than just a romance.
Beautifully Narrated

Very intriguing
The story, the characters and the setting - it's a pretty interesting concept to begin with. Laura takes these promising ingredients, marinates them with a huge dose of awesome before cooking them like a boss, and the end result is the most amazing dish I didn't even knew I favored. Now I do. I've read this book countless times, and now I've listened to it as well. The narrator does a very fine job.

Good Story
I have read this book several times and now listened to the audio in preparation for the forth book due for release soon. I loved the characters and their relationship build up, the battle of emotions from both Sarah and Pestilence. it is a good read.

A good listen
Interesting concept, filled with moral challenges and the hero killing a lot of people (..well he is one of the horsemen of the apocalypse so what would you expect?!) Decent romance too. I’d avoid this book if you’re squeamish or adverse to violence and death though..

A very unique romance
The Narrator was a brilliant Sarah and the story flowed.
I was dubious at first as to how a plague could be turned into a romance but Laura Thalassa twisted what we know and gave it her take.
Looking forward to seeing what she has done to the other horsemen.

Very obvious
If you are looking for some trashy end of the world supernatural romance this is the book for you. Think twilight with plague. It is ok. Sometimes steamy. Often problematic.
I think we all know what happens in the end

Amazingly good and sad
I was not sure what to expect when I started reading the book. It was recommended by a friend and, after reading the reviews, I gave it a go and I am super glad I did. The way their relationship develops and we find out more about pestilence and his purpose made me feel conflicted. Their first time was beautiful and I loved how their relationship ended up. There is a lot of sadness and macabre scenes when the author describes the plague. Even so it is a great book, beautifully written and I adore the audiobook performance, she really makes you feel and her different voices are really good, even when she plays the male ones.
