Story
Laurie and Pete should never have met. But fate has pushed them together for a reason. Six months ago, on the same night, Laurie and Pete both lost their partners. Struggling to manage the grief, they join the same counselling group - and meet each other. From their sadness, Pete and Laurie find happiness growing, and they sense a fresh new beginning. Except, the more they talk, the more Laurie begins to spot the strange parallels in their stories. Then Pete discovers a truth that changes everything. But, as surely as a compass points north, some people cannot be kept apart.

Good short stories
Any additional comments?
4 good short stories. Wish there had have been a few more as the whole book was a bit short (only 6 hours) If you have read Milly Johnson's books, you will recognise a lot of the characters in some of the tales, that have been in her earlier books. The story called The Barn on Halfmoon Hill was particularly good, it had me laughing out loud it was so funny! It starts with a series of letters written over a period of about 15 years, by a Welsh girl called Cariad, to a famous American movie star called Franco. The outcome is lovely though! The narrator is excellent. Recommended!!
