Great start to speaking and listening Norwegian
An excellent learning tool which has over 2 hours of recordings to help learn Norwegian. The repetition after around 7 minutes for each word ensures that you learn how to pronounce and understand the word when listening. This is only the first 5 units - there are many more to help listening and speaking.

Excellent for beginners
I gave it 4 stars because although it is still the best audio tutorial out there, what's missing to me is the text for the new vocabulary to be able to confirm or correct yourself whilst repeating by ear. To compensate the lack there of such a file, I found myself checking against google translate quite often that I was not missing any consonants or mispronouncing any vowels.

Really enjoyable!
I was struggling to learn Norwegian written down but really got on well with this aural, bite-size and repetitive way of learning. Thank you!

Very good course!
Even though I've learned Norwegian before, I found it very useful. It teaches you to speak rather than just memorize the words and then not know what to say when the time comes.

Useful tool for speaking the language
I’ve been learning Norwegian for several years utilising different mediums including online app, evening classes and a future learn Norwegian course developed by the university of Oslo. Regular visits to Norway with my bf did nothing to help me speak the language, for various reasons, one of which was their English is so good and most people are happy to speak English In Oslo anyway. So as a final push to speak it I’m extremely happy with my progress on this course. There is a lot of emphasis on getting the pronunciation correct, and sometimes words are broken down in order to achieve the correct sounds of the words, however I find this very helpful. I’ve gained a lot more confidence in speaking Norwegian already. So far so good.

so natural
I always found the Norwegian language intimidating. The Pimsleur method is amazing. Excellent choice of vocabulary. You get confident from the first lesson. You will build up conversational vocabulary and master the structure of the language in the most natural way.

Great way to learn
Struggled previously to pick up the language. Provides an excellent introduction, and opens the gate for further learning full stop.

hmm
my husband to-be would like to learn Norwegian. and as a Norwegian myself, I would not recommend this. Already in the intro it seems like the beginning of every paragraph is skipped, as if they clicked on the new voice file too soon. In the first lesson with "Excuse me" the voice file says and repeats "yll" which is the sound of the ending of the word "unnskyld". so the whole "Unnsk..." was missed. sadly misinformative and only one who knows the language would be able to tell.
