Summary

Baseball is life - the rest is just details.

Everyone who's played the game has heard those words a time or two. But Hancock has heard them his entire life from his parents. His family has lived and breathed baseball even before he started little league.

Hancock "Parts" Peters has a name that inspires grins across many faces, but the moment those faces get their first look at him, those grins slide away.

Hancock is gruff, filterless, and doesn't give a crap who he offends. He is the only man in baseball who doesn't care if he gets an endorsement or not. He's there to play the game. He's there to win. He's there because baseball is his life.

People think he's a jerk. And maybe he is. But if that's how he has to come off to get people to leave him the hell alone so he can play in peace, so be it. The less people he has to worry about offending, the better.

Contains mature themes.

Amazing find!!!

I stubbled onto this book my mistake and I do NOT regret it.
The banter between the main characters are amazing, cute, funny and sexy.
The way he treats her is swoon worthy, I swear I need a man like him in my life.

Easy reading

Very fun easy reading book.
Some scenes were hard to follow as the timeline was not clear but mostly it was good.

Adorable 🥰

Loved it…. A bit quick paced from time to time which made parts feel a little detached. However.. other parts made up for it really well. Great banter, a lovely main character couple and an interesting story. Also really liked the natural way to approach a bigger female main character. Felt spot on and relatable. Great narration too, brought out the humor in the story so well all though the brooding grumpy characterization of the MMC described in the blurb was lost. Well worth a listen though. :)

Pitch Please

It was an ok story. It wasn't as good as other books I've read from this author. There's something missing from this one.
