Summary

Fabian Hightower has been killed in a car crash. At least, that is what a policeman is asking Alex, his mother, to believe. But Alex knows she saw him that morning - at a time when he must have been dead.

Another comfortably satisfying read.
The story was excellent and a very unnerving subject. The Narrator was brilliant and her accents and different characters were fantastic. I will definitely watch out for Charlotte Strevens in the future. Peter James is always on my list of favourite authors 10/10

Genuinely Spooky
A very entertaining read for all who enjoy supernatural stories. Elements of mystery and the paranormal are blended in the plot, and the result is a binge-worthy listen. Recommended.

Loved it
I loved it even though it was so far fetched. It was very creepy in places.
Finished it in a day so quite fast moving. Well narrated. The narrator definitely brought it to life. I like Peter James books anyway so I suppose I'm a bit biased.

ghost story
narrator good clear expression able to change characters
not keen on story kept going hoping for the best but wouldn't recommend main female protagonist irritating with 'darling Fabian'

Not the best Peter James
I’m used to Peter’s books being read by a male narrator. Maybe that’s where this one has left me disappointed. However, as the story revolves around Mrs Hightower then it made sense to have a female narrator.
I did find the text repetitive at times especially when Mrs Hightower was talking to herself.

Nice touch peter James introduction.
Good storyline. Narrator Charlotte Stevens excellent.
